Dog-Friendly Holiday Cottages Near Clovelly
Genuinely dog-friendly cottages in North Devon
Both Orchard Lodge and Biteford Cottage are genuinely dog-friendly, not just dog-tolerant. Each has its own fully enclosed garden, so your dog can be let off the lead safely the moment you arrive, and you're surrounded by farm animals, open countryside, and some of the best dog-friendly beaches in Devon.
On-site for dogs:
-
Fully enclosed private gardens at both cottages
-
Large lawns with plenty of room to run
-
Easy access to walks straight from the farm
Dog-friendly beaches nearby:
-
Sandymouth — a National Trust beach around 8 miles away, with plenty of space at low tide
-
Welcombe Mouth — a quieter cove just 5 miles from the farm, reached by a short walk down a wooded valley
-
Widemouth Bay — a popular, dog-friendly stretch of sand near Bude
Dog-friendly walks: The South West Coast Path runs along this stretch of coastline and offers everything from an easy amble to a more challenging clifftop climb, all with sea views. Closer to home, the quiet lanes around Woolsery and Hartland make for a good leg-stretch straight from the cottage.
Dog-friendly places to eat: Several of our local recommendations, including the Farmers Arms and Sandymouth Café, welcome dogs in at least part of the premises — do call ahead to check on the day.
Please let us know when you enquire how many dogs you'd like to bring, and we'll confirm any charge and answer any questions about the gardens or nearby walks.
